My 2nd Shoot

Yesterday I conducted my second shoot for EMERGENCE using pieces sent to me by a brand called Catherine! The shoot took place on the 6th of August in the Condé Nast College studio at 10am. The model, Lem was styled in a white top due to the focus being upon the pieces.

Below are the outcomes of the shoot without any editing- I will take these images into photoshop to brighten them, as well as into Tezza to add filters and edits onto the image to work in accordance with the book and the other shoot.

The shoot worked really well- I was photographer and Sep aided me with lighting instructed by my mood board. We tried loads of different hand poses to be able to get a variety. I really love the ones coming through the paper as it really fits well with the idea of emergence. The shoot was minimal as aimed however the rings really were the centre piece and will stand out on the pages of the book.

  1. Hi Olivia, looks like you are going great guns with this. Yes, the hand coming out of the paper works well. Looking at your mood board for this shoot and the lighting, it seems that your images might be a little dark? I notice on the moodboard that there are highlights that lift the image, for example on the face of the one with the dark background. The other images on the moodboard are bright and crisp. Also make sure that your images are high enough res when you expand to show details as you show for your new layout ideas.
When are you taking everything to the printers? If there is a chance to see you first, that would be good. I am in CNC next Wednesday 14th, is that too late for you?

    1. Hi Harriet- I have actually taken this into account and lightened the shadows on the images in photoshop (I just did a post on it too to show!) so hopefully that looks better! I was planning on printing on Tuesday however if you are free Weds morning I could go straight after our tutorial?
